Like so many expats blogging from Japan, I survive here by being paid to teach one of the things that is easiest for me to do - speak English. I also have a degree in religious studies with a concentration in Buddhism and I am incredibly eager to see Japanese Buddhism in action. While I will certainly talk about my experiences traveling and teaching in Japan, I also will be discussing in detail (maybe too much at times) some of the interesting aspects of modern Buddhist practice and sacred sites in Japan.
